Office Technician (Typing)

The Riverside county Child Care Regional Office within the California Department of Social Services is seeking critical thinkers who are motivated self-starters, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. If this is you, we want you on board as an Office Technician-Typing.

The Office Technician (OT)(Typing) will provide all clerical support to include: typing reports and correspondences, answering and screening telephone call from the public, and gathering information for statistics. The incumbent will make travel arrangements, prepare travel claims and monthly travel summary reports. You will processes highly confidential personnel transactions, maintains personnel files and attendance records, completes attendance reports, and employee benefit forms.

The OT (T) will prepare office statistical reports including monthly workload volume, personnel and other monthly summary reports, complete billing and record keeping functions for the civil penalty system, have knowledge of office equipment, and arrange for repair/maintenance of equipment as needed. The OT (T) orders office supplies and maintains contact with department personnel, outside agencies and general public. Must be able to assist with the workload demands of the office. The incumbent may also provide lead clerical support to a limited number of clerical staff.
