Office Manager, Center for Academic Success

Posting Summary:The Office Manager oversees the day-to-day administrative functions of the Center for Academic Success and Scholars Programs. Creates a welcoming and inclusive office environment. Supports Scholars Programs services and events that decrease barriers and increase college access and success for students from historically under-served communities Supports department-level planning, communications, human resources, and business processes. Provides regular reports on student participation and progress, including federal reporting for the TRIO/Upward Bound grant. Implements communications campaigns and monitors web and social media. Assists with the production of events, outreach, and promotional materials. Maintains staff calendars, catering, and facility reservations. Helps create and carry out the Center for Academic Success’ mission, which includes a strong commitment to equity and inclusion. Supervised by the Director of the Center for Academic Success.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):Associate’s degree and one to three years of related experience. Proficiency using online resources, word processing and spreadsheet software. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously. Effective interpersonal and communication skills to include the ability to work positively and effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Other Information:Anticipated pay range is $22 to $24/hour. Actual hiring pay dependent on comparable campus peer(s) at time of hire, and candidate’s experience level and length.
Special Conditions:A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Bargaining unit position, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
