Maria's Gourmet Pasta Products Inc. is a small pasta manufacturer in Malden, MA. We provide pasta products to restaurants and retailers throughout MA, NH and RI. We are looking for a confident, energetic Office Manager with an understanding of basic accounting principles, who could work collaboratively with owner and sales reps as well as independently.
Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri 9am - 1pm (on site)
Compensation: $200/day
You will:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the office
- Lead company's email communications
- Oversee full cycle Account Payable (AP)
- Record incoming checks in QBO - Deposit checks using remote check deposit system - Run and record credit card transactions - Record payroll in QBO in form of General Journal entries
- Utilize QBO to manage daily financial transactions input and generate reports
- maintain filing systems and ensure efficient document management -Conduct weekly meetings with sales reps regarding state of Account Receivables (AR) - Contact customers to collect past due payments - Generate monthly financial reports - Participate in quarterly meetings with accounting crew - Go to post office to pick up mail from the PO BOX.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and terminology
- Proficiency in QBO
- Prior experience working with AR and AP
- Computer savvy
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Having personal vehicle is a must, as travel to Post Office is a part of responsibilities
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $200.00 per day
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
