**Job Located in Tempe**
The Interior Designer will work with account managers and customers to interpret and produce design specifications and creative solutions, while providing a high level of service and support through communication, coordination, design skill, and follow-through. We are looking for an artful Interior designer to undertake a variety of office furniture and Space Planning projects.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Collaborates with account managers and customers to identify parameters of project. Leads customers through a design discovery process. Provides design support for completion and execution of design projects from initial meeting to project order.
· Surveys, analyzes and tabulates data relative to the function of the environment. Interprets data for the customers to help determine the development and layout appropriate to specific areas, activities, organizational levels, and budget consideration. Executes complete specifications for furnishings, upholstery, accessories, and window, wall, and floor treatments.
· Communicates with sales and customers. Responds to customers’ needs and communicates design themes and plans through presentation boards, binders, floor plans, perspectives, and renderings.
· Executes floor, furniture, panel plans, and installation drawing on CAD. Coordinates color schemes and execution of color and finish schedules. Refines designs based on customer’s requests and input.
· Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space requirements within allotted time and budget. Assists in managing customer expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination.
· Educate and review product information with manufactures, customers, and architects. Stay on top of design trends and upcoming products. Understand products and how they work.
· Tracks project hours daily. Provides weekly updates to manager.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of 2 related years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience working in Interior Design or workplace design preferred; experience working in Giza software a plus.
· Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, Space Planning and new constructions)
· Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.
· Proficient in Giza or other design programs
· Excellent portfolio of previous works
· Familiar with office furniture manufactures
· Familiar with HON products preferred
· Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
· Communication and presentation skills
· Project management skills
