Carolina Foundation Repairswas started almost 30 years ago by Sean Corcoran, a Licensed General Contractor and Engineer. We have developed an excellent reputation over the past 27 years, to the point where most of our business comes through referrals. Carolina Foundation Repairs is looking to add an Office Assistant to our growing team.

Dues & Responsibilities:

  • Checking emails regularly throughout the day
  • Helping to answer the phone and assisting customers
  • Writing and/or starting the engineering reports and letters (through interpretation of engineer’s notes taken while out on inspections).
  • Scheduling engineer’s daily inspections (Monday-Friday). His daily map also needs to be made, showing the location of all crew jobs and inspections scheduled for that day
  • Scheduling the jobs for all (3) main crews and 4th crew when needed.
  • Handling the permiƫng process from start to finish (submitting permit application, payment for permit,writing & submiƫng completion letter/photos/drawing and calling for final inspection). The permit board must also be kept up to date showing the status of any open permits.
  • Putting together customer “packets” (with all relevant information) in preparation for engineer’s upcoming inspections.
  • Putting together job folders once a job is a “go” with all pertinent information gathered/noted.
  • Assisting with sealing/stamping of engineering plans, as well as getting copies made.
  • Proofreading and sending all engineering reports and letters.
  • Ordering of all office supplies and kitchen/bathroom necessities.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Prior Customer service experience
  • Prior office experience
  • Prior Scheduling/production experience
  • Experience reading blueprints (preferred)

Job Details

  • Pay: $16 to $20 per hour based on experience, 90 day/annual reviews.
  • Benefits: One-week paid vacation, paid time off for all major holidays(Christmas through New Year,)July 4th, Labor and Memorial Day, 5 paid personal days per year
  • Hours: 8am - 4pm (with some flexibility)
  • Office Location: 424 NC Hwy 55 W in New Bern, NC
