What is the Office Coordinator Role?
As an Office Coordinator at Brooke, you are a crucial member of the operations team which works to ensure operational excellence in support of great teaching. The Office Coordinator takes ownership of all front office operations including answering phones, greeting parents and visitors from, collecting and entering daily attendance, and making calls to families of absent students.
Responsibilities
- Oversee student attendance systems
- Oversee purchasing and procurement of building supplies and communication of budgets to grades/departments within the school
- Manage online budget and finance systems (Intacct, Ramp, etc)
- Support with staff-wide event planning
- Manage organization of office and teacher supply spaces
- Oversee student records systems
- Manage school mailings and package deliveries
- Oversee building copiers and printers and arrange maintenance service as needed
- Answer phone calls coming into the main office
- Support with the school's arrival and dismissal procedures, specifically overseeing dismissal changes with families
- Support with family communications and school-wide operational planning
- Support the Director of Operations with any and all other operational systems as necessary to ensure a high quality school for our students
- Support with operational coverage when other team members are absent
- Manage school field trips. This includes but is not limited to overnight field trips and all logistics around overnight trips.
You oversee the ordering and stocking of supplies for teachers and the front office, coordinate mailings, and manage service calls for printers and copiers. You also coordinate uniform and calculator sales, support with workroom organization and presentation, and participate in monthly operations team professional development sessions. Additionally, you will assist with enrollment and student information and track, organize, and maintain student records.
This is a year-round position, and salary is commensurate with experience. Salary will range from $50K - $81,920 (depending upon years of experience).
Is This You?
- You've earned a high school degree (preferably some college credit) and have at least 2 years of full-time work experience
- You have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- You are professional, warm, and emotionally composed with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to serving students and families of color within an urban school setting
- Available to work from the hours of 7:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday
- Start date is negotiable, no later than July 1st. Preferably available to start sooner.
- Spanish fluency is highly desirable
