Health & Safety Coordinator (In-Office)

We pride ourselves in our culture and our commitment to safety on the job. We are currently looking for an organized, energetic self-starter to join our Environmental Health & Safety Department.

Who You Are:

• Technology proficient, able to quickly learn both off-the-shelf and home-grown systems
• Effective and professional communicator, both oral and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
• Strong administrative and organization skills, able to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
• Able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy
• Critical thinker who can recommend changes and improvements

What You’ll Do:

• New hire H&S orientation and onboarding (in partnership with HR)
• Manage and track various employee certifications and licenses, both at hire and ongoing
• Track and manage ongoing training utilizing in-house database and programs
• Manage subcontractor safety qualifications in support of contract and project administration
• Support/backup incident and insurance claims management
• Maintain internal H&S records and systems, including data entry and reporting
• Coordinate and administer safety meetings and training, maintain records and minutes
• Create and maintain project safety paperwork
• Occasional site visits for safety inspections, stand-downs, meetings
• Other tasks as assigned

Nice to Have:

• Administrative experience and exposure to H&S programs in construction and/or transportation
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
