Position Summary: The Medical Office Coordinator (MOC) promotes and oversees a wide range of administrative duties under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and Business Manager. The MOC serves as a liaison between the physicians, managers and support staff. The MOC is responsible for assisting the managers with all day-to-day operational, administrative, and fiscal aspects of the physicians' office. The MOC promotes the organization of excellent customer service from all aspects of a patient/parent's experience within the office and resolves non-clinical issues to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily functions of the Front Desk.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
- Orients all new clerical staff to the department and to specific job duties. Responsible for training all new and current clerical employees on all systems and processes pertaining to department operations.
- Monitors performance and provides additional training when needed within their scope.
- Coordinates daily review and correction of patient demographic, insurance and physician information so that information is complete prior to billing patients and third parties.
- Maintains department improvement and participates in NCQA activities. Produce and monitor regular reports regarding the operations of the clinic. Makes recommendations to Managers to improve departmental performance.
- Trains current employees on new or updated policies, procedures or systems.
- Maintains current training materials and departmental policies and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain patient satisfaction, including grievances and reports them to the correct overseeing supervisor.
Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in health-related field desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years Medical Office experience required. Previous management experience preferred.
- Other: Medical terminology required. Must be able to effectively handle multi-task situations with professionalism.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
