Job Description
Part-Time Office Clerk
- Deliver, stock, organize and maintain a variety of supplies, food and beverage for daily office operations in supply, conference and break rooms on 3 floors
- Manage inventory, including but not limited to determining adequate stock levels, replenish stock as needed to respond to consumption, add/delete stock items as requirements change – rotate stock on hand to ensure freshness and monitor expiration dates
- Merchandize stock and present in an appealing and professional display
- Engage with end users to solicit feedback and continuous improvement – engage with office culture to support many activities, events and celebrations
- Strong time management skills and ability to recognize and react to problems
- Able to work independently; self-directing
- Able to interface with vendors, maintain satisfactory relationships with suppliers, verify receipt of products ordered and submit invoices for processing
- Organize and clean conference room whiteboards
- Attempt to find the owners of items left in common areas and discard if needed
- Assemble and maintain minor office equipment
- Provide simple Handyman duties as needed
- Cooperate with office staff to maintain proper interaction and a friendly environment within the office
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Ability to work a minimum of 14 hours and maximum of 20 a week - non-consecutive days are required – evenings preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in food service or hospitality a plus
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
- Able to communicate effectively
- Able to follow routine verbal and written instructions
- Able to manage time effectively
- Able to work independently and without supervision
- Microsoft outlook, word and excel experience highly desired
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior office work environment
- Must be able to repetitively lift 50 pound boxes, bend, stretch, squat and reach
- Must be able to stand on a stepladder to reach higher storage spaces
- Must be able to transport supplies across several floors
- Use standard cleaning products in kitchen environment
