Office Assistant

TMX Shipping Co., a leading International Freight Forwarder, is seeking a driven Office Assistant for its office in Virginia Beach, VA.

This position involves direct customer contact and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Office Assistant must be detail oriented while being able to perform in a fast paced and stressful environment. No prior logistics experience is required, however, strong customer service skills are an absolute must.

The following are examples of tasks the Office Assistant may help the Account Manager complete :

• Print and prepare key shipping documents
• Make bookings with steamship lines
• Assist with customer billing
• Communicate directly with customers via phone/email
• Disperse mail to the appropriate party

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
