What We Need From You:
OMH is looking for highly motivated and organized individuals who are able to work well both independently and as part of a team, are able to multitask, possess good customer service skills, and enjoy a busy, challenging and creative work environment. Candidates who have experience with, or who have an interest in learning, MS Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Adobe Acrobat are encouraged to apply.
Office Assistant 1s provide invaluable administrative support to management and professional staff in support of assigned Bureau operations by performing the following tasks:
- Interacting in person, by phone, mail and e-mail with a variety of individuals concerning Bureau activities and projects.
- Receiving, reviewing, and distributing incoming mail.
- Answering routine telephone calls and inquiries. Forwarding or recording telephone calls to appropriate staff and screen visitors.
- Using various computer applications to prepare documents and reports and track data/processes as requested.
- Coordinating meetings, making travel arrangements, and maintaining scheduling and calendars for Bureau staff.
- Preparing a variety of reports, documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
- Maintaining paper and electronic filing systems.
