Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a pediatric certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or pediatric COTA, your job is to provide Occupational Therapy services to children.
- In this role, you assist patients with special needs, help them develop the correct behavior and motor skills, and promote cognitive development.
- As an assistant, your job is to work directly under an occupational therapist (OT) who makes the primary decisions about care, but you may work independently on some tasks.
- Pediatric COTAs often travel to visit patients in hospitals, schools, and home settings, so a driver's license and reliable transportation are essential to your success in this field.
