Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist (School) onsite, part-time, and fulltime available

Monday to Friday, 32 - 40 hours per week

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist working onsite, you will play a crucial role in supporting students to achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential by addressing barriers related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals to address students' specific needs.

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both in group settings and one-on-one sessions.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to implement strategies that support students in the classroom and school environment.

• Offer guidance and training to educators and caregivers to reinforce therapeutic interventions and strategies.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and treatment plans.

• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide insights and recommendations for student success.

• Stay current with best practices and innovative techniques in occupational therapy within an educational setting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE certified program in Washington.

• State licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.

• Experience or strong interest in working with children or adolescents in an educational setting.

• Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and tools to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, educators, parents, and other professionals.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving students' quality of life through occupational therapy.

• Must be able to undergo a background check, fingerprints, Basic Life Support Certified, etc.
