Division: Capstone Occupational Medicine, a department of Medical Network of Alaska
Medical Network of Alaska delivers leadership, support, and guidance to healthcare facilities of all sizes across multiple specialists with the primary goal of providing accessibility, value, and quality medical administrative support services.
What You’ll Do:
An exempt, mid-level management position responsible for executing the organization's policies, procedures, and operational processes of the Employee Health and Occupational Medicine Program.
- Provide new hire orientation for the Occ Med/employee health department outlining the company’s high expectations regarding compliance, safety and CFR regulations
- Promote a proactive client-focused culture through strong client relationships management and sales of services
- Working knowledge of commercial construction or electrical, environmental engineering, Alaska’s petroleum/gas industry, remote oilfield work and government contracting.
- Must have the ability to develop, implement, and manage workflows appropriate to business, client and organization needs.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to exercise positive leadership with people.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and professionally with staff of all levels.
- Ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention for detail.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate projects with team members locally and at remote sites.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Assist Drug and Alcohol Program manager to develop and proactively work with business partners and stakeholders to identify changes in process and business direction and provide risk mitigation options to the Drug & Alcohol (D&A) program.
- Knowledge of 29 CFR 1910, 1926 federal and state requirements and ERM 385.

What You Need For This Job:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Business or Environmental sciences US equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience leading HSE in a manufacturing/industrial environment and able to demonstrate strong HSE compliance leadership and systems implementation experience that has driven reduction in risk and incidents and an improvement in HSE culture
- Preferred prior exposure to DOT CFR for FAA, Motor Carriers and Marine Vessel operations, Drug and Alcohol program monitoring
- Ability to demonstrate experience of working with formal Management of Change systems (MOC) to reduce safety and operational risks
- Demonstrated experience in the application of management systems in order to drive an interdependent and collaborative culture within a workforce for client satisfaction.
- 3-5 years of experience of proven leadership developing team members for successful outcomes
- Must reside in or near Anchorage, Alaska.
- Have general knowledge of EMR software and Outlook Programs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, or feel and talk and hear. Ability to occasionally sit, reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
