JOB TITLE: Occupational Health RN
SUPERVISOR: Director of Nursing
HOURS PER WEEK: 40hrs/Exempt (Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm)
DEPARTMENT: Administration

HIRING BONUS: $1,000 after 90 days
PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for coordination and development of all employee health initiatives, policies and procedures, leads infection prevention and control related activities, and will oversee vaccine coordination for TPC.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
1. Responsible for all employee processes regarding new hire vaccinations, titer evaluation, and FIT testing for N95. Will also oversee management of potential employee bloodborne pathogen exposures. *
2. Responsible for vaccine coordination for TPC, including annual vaccine planning and strategies, staying up to date with vaccine recommendations and the VFC program. *
3. Will be responsible for establishing and implementing standardized methods, drawing from evidence-based and best practice standards to develop organization wide policies and procedures for infection prevention and employee health. *
4. Ensures compliance with state and federal requirements, TPC policies and clinical responsibilities. *
5. Provides consultation and education to all employees related to Infection Prevention and Control. *
6. Participates as an integral team member, collaborating with various departments and colleagues, including HR, Quality, the branch management teams, and the director of nursing to advocate for employee health and safety. *
7. Must have strong computer and research skills in order to remain up to date with new developments, best practices, and standards of care within the field of infection prevention and employee health. *
8. Conduct risk assessments at least annually and as needed with consideration of served populations, regional vulnerabilities, and new and emerging infectious diseases. *
9. Notify the County and/or State Health Department of any reportable disease, adhering to all internal county and state procedures, as applicable. *
10. Develop and implement improved patient care procedures and control mechanisms relating to quality compliance and infectious disease. *
11. Participate in infection prevent and control education of all employees during orientation and annually thereafter. *
12. Always maintain patient and employee confidentiality. *
13. Complete annual education requirements.
14. Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
15. Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical clinical and business practices.
16. Participate in performance improvements and continuous quality improvement activities.
17. Uphold nursing professional conduct according to the standards set by the ANA.
18. Adhere to the dress code with a clean and neat appearance.
19. Report to work on time and follow attendance policy.
20. Wear identification while at work.
21. Maintain regular work attendance and punctuality. *

REQUIREMENTS:
Active Oregon Nursing License (RN)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience
PREFERENCES:
Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred but not required
1 year of experience in Employee Health/Infection Control preferred
Proficient with working knowledge of EPIC, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Etc.)
Detail oriented and capable of exploring innovative solutions to solve complex problems and address issues through a combination of tools.
Ability to compile and verify information/data and present to multidisciplinary group.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work.
Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
Ability to communicate effectively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to research and implement evidence-based practice in a rapidly changing atmosphere.
Ability to travel between clinics.
