We are seeking a Occupational Therapist to join our Home Health Department. This position is casual with no guarantee of hours per week and is eligible for a 13% pay differential in addition to the base salary in lieu of benefits. Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is located in The Dalles, Oregon. We work, live, and play in the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Oregon. Located 85 miles east of Portland in the majestic Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles features old-growth forests, rushing waterfalls, and year-round access to outdoor recreation, including downhill and cross-country skiing, world-class water sports, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. The area boasts award-winning wineries, and, most importantly, warm, friendly people.
Provides direct occupational therapy service and instruction to Home Health patients and family in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment and subsequent orders.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program approved by the Occupational Therapy Association required. Master's preferred.
- Licensed in Occupational Therapy by the State of Oregon and Washington
- Current Healthcare provider CPR.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- One year clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Must have an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of occupational therapy, theory and practice and the legal and ethical issues associated with them.
- Enjoys and has an interest in working with and motivating the disabled.d Should be neat in work and appearance; be tactful, courteous, and ethical.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with some supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Able to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
