Aon is looking for a Health & Safety Analyst

The Role

  1. Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of workplace environments to identify potential Health and Safety hazards, and the impacts of implemented safety policies and protocols. Evaluate processes, equipment, and facilities to determine their compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
  2. Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to workplace incidents, fire life safety audits, and Safety trends. Utilize data to identify patterns, trends, and areas of concern, and provide actionable insights for preventive measures.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization's practices, policies, and procedures for regulatory compliance is implemented leveraging EHS software, and provide direction informed by data.
  4. Safety Protocols: Review and assess the effectiveness of existing safety protocols, guidelines, and procedures. Collaborate with teams to develop and implement improved processes that minimize risks and ensure employee well-being.
  5. Training and Education: Assist in mapping Health and Safety training programs for employees and management against loss run data and provide value driven communications. Foster a culture of safety awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
  6. Safety Audits & Inspections: Review fire safety audits and inspections to identify potential violations and deficiencies. Collaborate with relevant departments to implement corrective actions. Identify root causes, contributing factors, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of fire safety assessments, safety inspections, and corrective actions taken. Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports detailing safety performance, incident statistics, and trends. Present findings to management and relevant stakeholders, suggesting strategies for improvement.
  8. Emergency Preparedness: Contribute to the development and maintenance of emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and crisis management strategies.
  9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Facilities, HR, Sustainability and Social Responsibility departments, to ensure a cohesive approach to Health and Safety management.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to Health and Safety. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance processes, reduce risks, and promote a safer work environment.

Qualifications

Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

 

Proven experience as a Health and Safety Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and standards. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, using tools such as Excel, data visualization software, and database management systems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively. Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking, with the ability to identify trends and make informed decisions based on data. Experience in conducting risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence stakeholders at various levels. Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

 

Experience Preferred: Professional certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
