Role Summary:

As a Staff Nurse in our residential inpatient program, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to individuals with Substance Use disorders, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will be an integral part of providing safe, patient-centric care, ensuring that our patients receive the support and treatment they need for successful recovery.

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with Substance Use disorders, including medical and Mental Health evaluations.
• Medication Management: Administer and monitor medications, including those used for addiction treatment, and provide education to patients.
• Patient-Centered Care: Develop individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs of each patient and their Substance Use history.
• Clinical Support: Provide direct nursing care, such as wound care, IV therapy, and other medical procedures as necessary.
• Education and Counseling: Educate patients about addiction, recovery, and healthy lifestyle choices. Offer support and encouragement for their treatment journey.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and behavioral health technicians, to ensure holistic care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
• Patient Advocacy: Advocate for the needs of patients, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and support.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN Nurse license in the state.
• Previous experience in Substance Use treatment and addiction medicine is a strong asset.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Empathy, patience, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Understanding of the principles of addiction treatment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
