Job Summary:
This is a Primary Care telemedicine opportunity only. You will NOT have a patient panel and you will be doing Telemedicine in one of our Primary Care clinics so you must be willing to relocate or already live in the area . A nurse practitioner is employed by Erlanger Medical Center and is responsible for participating in the diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care of Erlanger employees and prospective employees. The Nurse Practitioner collects documents and analyzes patient data, and when necessary collaborates in the development and implementation of testing and treatment protocols.
This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practices' patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.
Education:
Required: Graduate from a nationally accredited School of Nursing for both undergraduate and Master's Degree.

Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
Required:
Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee. Certification by the American Nurses Association as a Nurse Practitioner.

Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to perform procedures and operate equipment necessary for patient care as required.
Ability to maintain strict level of confidentiality regarding health information.
