NJ Shipping & Receiving Clerk (Bilingual Chinese and English)

We are looking for a hard-working and detailed orientated Shipping and Warehouse Clerk to assist our team. The ideal candidate must have background or at least have experience and knowledgeable with inventory control, packaging, and shipping receiving. Warehouse work with good scanning and computer knowledge. This role will also rotate in the warehouse as needed.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the flow of packages and materials in and out of our distribution center. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate and timely shipment of orders and efficient handling of incoming deliveries.

Duties:

- Process and prepare printing labels and orders daily
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect packages for damage or defects
- Sort and distribute incoming packages to the appropriate departments or individuals
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely, labeling packages, and arranging for carrier pickup
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies
- Keep track of inventory and use of basic computer data entry information
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations in the shipping and receiving department

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times

Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
- Familiarity with e-commerce order fulfillment processes
- Proficiency in using AS400 or similar inventory management systems
- Ability to accurately pick orders using RF scanners or similar technology
- Knowledge of proper packaging techniques to ensure safe transportation of goods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills to interact with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders

- Read and write fluently in Chinese and English are a must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
