Night Shift Custodian

Primary Function:
Clean and maintain office and other support buildings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Clean, maintain, and supply office and support buildings
· Clean and maintain bathrooms
· Empty trash cans and transport trash and waste to disposal area
· Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
· Support other areas of building, as needed

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Must be able to pass a background check.

Additional skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a very dynamic environment – must have flexibility with an ability to focus.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk and frequently use stairs; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Employee must regularly be on their feet for a 10-hour shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet – typical of what is generally found in an office setting. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and mild cleaning chemicals. The employee will occasionally find it necessary to enter a manufacturing environment. The manufacturing environment is typical of that type of setting – employees may be exposed to inclement weather, loud noises, tripping hazards; and there may be exposure to sparks, welding arc, open flame, and moving equipment.
