This is a nights and weekends position!
This position is an outside-the-box thinker that is able to consume large amounts of information and make critical decisions throughout their shift. The environment is fast paced and ever evolving, providing an incredible level of excitement and engagement from our Team Members.
DISPATCH & DRIVER SUPPORT ROLE:
- Respond to driver messages
- Answer phone calls and assist with issues or direct message to appropriate department: Weights, Routes, Load Information, Fuel Issues / Stops, Advances, Purchase Orders, Temperature, Other.
- Customer Line coverage: Respond to customer inquiries about status of freight or direct call to appropriate department.
- Track assigned customers to ensure on-time deliver of freight.
- Identify and resolve potential service failures through re-power or rescheduling.
- Other driver support duties as required or assigned
DISPATCH & DRIVER SUPPORT PROFILE:
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions is required
- Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Extremely organized and communicative.
- Some knowledge of time/distance geography is ideal.
- Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound email.
