Job Description
The Night Auditor coordinates all night-time front desk and night audit functions. Responsible for reconciling resort cashier transactions; reviewing, organizing and compiling management reports on a timely basis. In addition, this individual plays a significant role in creating an inspiring hospitality experience for guests.
Responsibilities
- Conducts check-in process on arrival and check-out process on departure
- Responsible for the daily inventory of retail items
- Prepares daily reports and distributes timely
- Assists with confirming monthly commissions
- Ensures front office is stocked appropriately for the next business day
- Clean/sanitize guestroom keys to ensure highest standards of cleanliness
- Manage deposits based upon the standards of procedures
- Confirms all wake up calls are scheduled as requested by the guest
- Walks front office zones and mechanical rooms
- Pulls Medallia data and researches to assist in responding to guest reviews
- Prepares and audits all daily postings and transmittals of the property revenue
- Main liaison for guest requests and questions
- Able to handle emergency response based upon Resort procedures
- Familiar with all hotel rate plans and rate codes, understanding rate strategy when making rate changes for guests
- Accurately inputs engineering and housekeeping requests into HotSOS
- Familiar with all Resort amenities, facilities and local attractions
- Prepare arrival report, research and update guest information I.E. special requests/return guest information
- Manage cancellation and no-show process
- Prepares back up procedures
- Finishes night audit checklist by end of shift
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by Front Office Manager, Director of Rooms or General Manager
Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification
- Hotel experience preferred
- A strong command of both written and spoken English is required
- High computer literacy
- Positive, empathetic demeanor
- Dependable and detail oriented
The Hotel functions seven days a week and 24-hours a day. All employees, both management and hourly, must realize, at times, it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift so support business demands.
