Registered Nurse RN in Blythe, CA - Corrections WEEKENDS ONLY
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing basic nursing care to inmates incarcerated in the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. This includes assessments, triage, scheduling, patient education, and emergency response coverage. Performs Health Care related duties consistent with the RN Scope of Practice.
- *New grads accepted but MUST have CA license and AHA BLS**
- $80 hourly pay for RN
- Sat and Sun only, 8a to 4p
- 6 to 18 month contracts (Will extend)
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement nursing care including the administration of medication, therapeutic agents, treatments and disease prevention, orders by the physician, and obtain specimens for diagnostic testing;
Document all nursing activities in medical records, including an initial nursing assessment and treatment interventions
Requirements:
- Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
- One year of RN experience preferred but New Grads are strongly encouraged to apply
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- Must be able to speak, understand oral and written communication and write effectively in the English language.
- Must be available for minimum one week of orientation, and it is paid at HALF TIME
