Assistant/Associate Professor, Parkinson's Disease Research in Nonhuman Primates

The Division of Neuropharmacology and Neurological Disorders at the Emory National Primate Research Center and the Department of Neurology at Emory University invite applications for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This is a broad search for researchers who utilize nonhuman primates in the field of Parkinson's disease. Research topics may include, but are not limited to, studies of cognitive changes in Parkinson's disease, neuroinflammation, cell vulnerability, stem cell approaches to therapy, autonomic systems involvement, artificial intelligence-supported approaches to analyzing behavioral or electrophysiologic data, or the development of nonhuman primate models of Parkinson's disease. The applicant should have experience in the area of nonhuman primate research in Parkinson's Disease that complements the expertise in systems neuroanatomy, electrophysiology at the Yerkes Center, and clinical expertise in the Movement Disorders Division of the Department of Neurology. The candidate should have a strong commitment to graduate education. A Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree is required.

Preferred Qualifications (optional)
The applicant should have experience in the area of nonhuman primate research in Parkinson's Disease that complements the expertise in systems neuroanatomy, electrophysiology at the Yerkes Center, and clinical expertise in the Movement Disorders Division of the Department of Neurology. The candidate should have a strong commitment to graduate education. A Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree is required.
