Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Network Specialist, Infrastructure Operations at Peterson, CO. Active Secret Clearance and a United States Citizenship are required to be considered for this position. This is an upcoming position contingent on contract award.

Report to the Network System Administrator to configure, standardize, monitor, operate, maintain, install, administer, troubleshoot and manage 690 COG AOR infrastructure devices. Responding to Change Requests and Incident Tickets. Report to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring completion of all assigned change requests and incident tickets associated with Infrastructure Operations no later than 30 days after creation
• Ensuring that no more than 15% of all incident tickets and change requests in the backlog are more than 60 days old
• Completing change request and incident tickets IAW with TPI
• Update CMDB within 24 hours of adding or changing the configuration of devices
• Developing and deliver Technical Reports
• Overseeing administration and infrastructure devices to include routers, switches, load balancers, and wireless local area network (WLAN) devices
• Establish standard rule sets and provide technical analysis, performance optimization, network utilization analysis, and overall management of all network infrastructure
• Applying security measures to infrastructure devices (IA Network Spec.)
• Responding to and resolve incident tickets and outages
• Performing network improvement and clean-up
• Maintaining and evaluate policies and procedures for systems and services
• Auditing and logging all traffic flow using tools to ensure availability of services
• Performing intrusion detection, identification, and internal/external IT threat analysis
• Implement vulnerability management to ensure the security of systems IAW Government policies, applying security measures to infrastructure devices
• Responding to, document and resolve change request actions
• Creating and maintain AS-IS documentation for network infrastructure devices
• Responding to and resolve incident tickets and outages; accomplish network maintenance and ASIs
• Monitoring and employ hardware and software tools to enhance network security
• Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT resources
• Accomplishing defensive cyberspace operations and information protection

Qualifications

Experience/Education:

• Infrastructure Operations: Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Specific Experience in Network/Cyberspace Operations, Enterprise Data Centers, and Operations
• Work well with others

Certifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Data Center
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II

Clearance:

• Must be a US Citizen and an Active Secret Clearance.
• Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC'S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
