You'll work collaboratively with continental and global NOC teams, contributing to the seamless operation of client networks.
Position Overview:
As a NOC Specialist – Infrastructure Specialist, you will be the escalation point for client queries, providing second-level service by addressing tickets on our ServiceNow platform. Join our 24x7 infrastructure surveillance team, delivering round-the-clock coverage for Managed Infrastructure Services to guarantee maximum service availability and performance. Your role extends to fault handling, maintaining hardware serial audits, and configuring bespoke graphing.
Responsibilities:
- Network Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain large-scale networks using advanced platforms like SolarWinds and LogicMonitor.
- Implement firmware and Windows patching for enhanced network security and performance.
- Collaboration and Troubleshooting:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
- Utilize ServiceNow for incident tracking, resolution, and documentation.
- Knowledgebase Management:
- Actively contribute to and maintain the client knowledge base with technical documentation.
- 24x7 Support and Escalation:
- Participate in a 24x7 shift and support call-out rota if required.
- Handle fault identification and escalation, liaising with 3rd party suppliers, leading escalation through to resolution.
- Hardware Audits and Custom Configurations:
- Maintain hardware serial audits.
- Write custom monitoring plugins and configure bespoke graphing.
- Analysis and Skill Development:
- Analyze client data and generate escalation reports.
- Actively participate in the skill development of colleagues through workshops and presentations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency:
- Basic Linux CLI and sysadmin skills for Centos and Ubuntu preferred.
- Experience with Virtualization tools such as Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, and ESXi.
- Experience managing and configuring SNMP and JDBC.
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms like SolarWinds and LogicMonitor.
- Networking and Security:
- Hands-on experience with firmware and Windows patching.
- Knowledge of network topologies, standards, and infrastructure.
- Proven experience with Azure cloud platform services.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Previous experience in a NOC environment, monitoring various network services.
- Process Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Event Management and Incident Management processes.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
