You will be a member of a global Network Infrastructure team. Your focus will be primarily on Epiroc locations in the USA and Canada. Still, you will also be involved in WAN, SD WAN, LAN, WLAN operations and support to Epiroc locations at the entire NASA region.
Responsibilities:
Your daily focus will be on WAN, SD-WAN, LAN, and WLAN operations, delivery, and incident resolution
You will be in touch with Epiroc global and regional WAN providers ensuring WAN services excellent performance
You will be taking the technical lead on troubleshooting network connectivity (WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN) issues in coordination with Cisco TAC or with the WAN services provider
You will deploy or modify existing network connectivity to Epiroc locations (apply standard Epiroc design principles, configure LAN switches, Wifi controllers, and Access Points, and coordinate Internet /MPLS services delivery)
You will work on IOS upgrades closely working with other infrastructure teams on Wifi site surveys
You will be working on DDI (DHCP, IPAM, DNS) management, securing and maintaining LAN and WLAN network availability and performance
You will contribute to the Epiroc IT Network Infrastructure strategy, maintaining and optimizing our services, platforms, and designs. You will feel support from other global Network infrastructure team members since our team acts as one supporting each other
Requirements:
- Some limited travel (within the region) will be part of the role
- You have experience namely in the following technology areas:
- Cisco ISR and ASR series routers. Catalyst 9Ks, and lower series switches, WLC 5k, 3k, 9k, and awareness of IT trends introduced on the market i.e. WLC 9k, SD-WAN Meraki
- Routing - routing protocols Layer2/3 RIP, RIPv2, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VRF
- Switching - VLANS, VPCs, Ether-channel, STP, HSRP, VRRP
- Wireless - Cisco platforms (knowledge of ISE is a benefit)
- Network Security - Experience in stateful Firewall management, network segregation, ACL, port blocking
- Interface - Ethernet, T1, SVIs, 802. 1q trunks; Ethernet 10/100/1000/10000
- Fiber Technology single/multimode, CWDM/DWDM Technology
- Protocol awareness - TCP/UDP, ARP, IPSEC, SSL, TLS, SSH, Telnet, SNMP, SMTP, AAA, Radius, DNS, SFTP, SCP, LDAP, RPC
- Network Monitoring and management tools (such as Solarwinds Orion, Infoblox, and Cisco DNA)
- Network automation, scripting, and orchestration (Ansible, YAML, Python, or others); Network troubleshooting - Wireshark, NMAP analyses, etc
As our corporate language is English, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of a secondary language is a benefit
Proven hands-on working experience in a Telco / ISP environment is a benefit
You are familiar with IT standards and processes (ITIL) and you have hands-on experience in operating MPLS, Internet services, and LAN, and WLAN platforms
Your awareness of Network Security (Firewalls, etc.) is a strong plus
You have reached a CCNA level and higher knowledge backed by extensive experience deploying and operating enterprise-scale Cisco platforms-based networks
You are Citrix or other platforms aware or ideally have hands-on experience too

Education & Experience:
- You have a Bachelor's, or higher University degree, in relevant fields or similar competence developed through working experience
- You have at least 3 - 5 years of experience working within the area of IT support and IT operations; ideally in IT Network Infrastructure operations and delivery
- If limited experience in IT Network Infrastructure operations, a strong interest in professional development in this area matters
This position will be located in Garland Texas.
