Pls note and share with your candidate bf submitting! In addition to the compliance items required in Vector, NSU runs a separate criminal background check that searches from Age 18 forward. This is initiated once offer is accepted. The offer is contingent on them passing the NSU check as well as the criminal check the vendor runs/provides in Vector.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Deploy functional wired/wireless campus networks (LAN,WLAN,WAN).
Monitor network performance and integrity to determine if improvements need to be made.
Resolve issues escalated from helpdesk by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
Work with third party vendors to keep the network running efficiently.
Communicate with network users to resolve network issues.
Maintain complete technical documentation.
Perform analysis and collect data to establish the potential for improvements within the NSU network.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• cust support & prob def and resol for hardware & software: 3 years (Required)
• Cisco router and switches and Aruba wireless technologies: 3 years (Required)
• network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools: 3 years (Required)
• configuring DNS and DHCP: 3 years (Required)
• LAN/WAN environment, including wireless access points: 4 years (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Norfolk, VA 23504: Relocate before starting work (Required)
