Overview
Invario Network Engineers is a leading Managed IT Services Provider in the Washington, DC area. Our customers are comprised of small and mid-sized organizations that represent a wide array of industries.
In this role, you will be working to improve the security posture of our diverse and growing customer base by identifying and implementing security standards to protect them against rising and persistent threats.
To be successful in this role, you need to have a strong background in cybersecurity, a relevant certification, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will also need to be a champion of Cyber Security and stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in the field.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate company security activities to protect customer endpoints and networks
- Assess network and device configurations, identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations.
- Hands-on administration, implementation and configuration of security tools to enhance the risk posture of customer networks and endpoints.
- Document security compliance and accreditation activities following CIS v8 and NIST 800-171 Frameworks
- Coordinate monthly security awareness training activities, including deployment, testing, and reporting of scheduled actions.
- Review and report on high priority endpoint threats and vulnerabilities with an eye toward remediation of said threats.
- Coordinate incident response activities and reporting.
- Respond to customer questions regarding Cyber Security and recommend best practices
- Document security policies and procedures for the company and its customers, assist customers with creating their own documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field
- CompTIA Security+ certification minimum. Advanced certification a plus.
- Familiarity with CIS v8, CMMC and NIST 800-171 cybersecurity frameworks, standards and best practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,596.00 - $72,584.00 per year
