Job Description:
Responsibilities
" Overseeing computer systems networks to ensure proper maintenance and security.
" Identify network or computer system needs, overseeing the installation of new hardware or software
" Assist in network design and implementation.
" Provide network support with Windows operating systems.
" Install, maintain, and configure Cisco switches, routers, wireless devices, and firewalls.
" Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.
" Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings.
" Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources.
" Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up.
" Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
" Monitor network to ensure optimal performance.
" Create and maintain network users/permissions.
" Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility.
" Create technical support documentation for systems and applications.
" Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
Required Skills and Experience:
" A minimum of five years' experience in a network administration or engineering role
" Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server/ Hyper-V
" Previous experience with Cisco switches and routers
" Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills
" Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools
" Solid experience in documenting and keeping up to date standard operating procedures (SOP's)
" Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues
" Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
Preferred Skills and Experience
" MCSE certification preferred
" CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification a plus
