SUMMARY of Duties

The National Director of Culinary Services is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the Culinary Department in accordance with current standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our property, and as may be directed by the Senior Vice President of Support Services, to assure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the department is operated efficiently. This position assumes a primary role in ensuring that the communities are compliant with State and Federal Regulations and ensuring top notch hospitality and service standards throughout the company.

Duties include:

• Develops and assists with the creation of menu items and menu cycles.
• Assists with selection and training of menu software.
• Participates in the selection and review process for Community Directors of Culinary Service.
• Negotiates with vendors to insure best company pricing, selection and service;
• Develop staffing standards for kitchen and dining service personnel.

Educational Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts program strongly preferred
• Five(5) year management experience in a food service environment
• Must have successfully completed food safety training
