THE ROLE
Your role stands at the intersection of electoral campaigns and the fight to change the odds for historically underserved children and families. As a key member of Stand’s Campaigns & Organizing Team at a moment of tremendous need and opportunity, you will support Stand Affiliate and National stakeholders in developing the strategic pathway to victory utilizing data to ensure Stand is implementing campaign and mobilization strategies capable of impacting local and state policy decisions and elections. This is a remote position reporting to the Chief of Organizing & Campaigns
THE ORGANIZATION
Stand for Children is a unique catalyst for education equity and racial justice to create a brighter future for us all.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with Stand for Children’s State Affiliate leaders - who have the state and local expertise - to support and add capacity by working with them to execute sophisticated electoral and ballot measure campaigns that put Stand in the best position to win. Areas of support include:
    • Voter contact strategies that leverage and layer communication (paid and earned), digital (paid and social), and field strategies for persuasion and turnout programs;
    • Lead Stand’s data analysis of voter targeting/universe creation and provide strategic data-driven recommendations when formulating win numbers.
    • Manage to firewall protocols including budgeting, polling, research, voter contact, compliance, etc., and provide added capacity where needed.
    • Create reports throughout the election to track metrics that inform shifts in strategy and resource allocation.
    • After election cycles, conduct postmortem reviews and analysis of campaign strategies (e.g. tactics, voter contact, communication, targeting strategies, etc.) that provide data-driven recommendations to ensure the Organization continues to execute best-in-class campaign strategies.
    • Create and present findings from district profiles, landscape analysis, model scores, voter targeting, voter outreach, etc. and effectively communicate data analysis and findings with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Management of Voter Data Systems and Tools
    • Develop, maintain, and implement data standards to ensure accurate tracking and analysis of campaigns in partnership with Stand’s Tech Team Data Analyst.
    • Liaise with the voter file vendor and other key stakeholders in the organization to ensure data hygiene, data integration, and syncing across systems, committees, and paid vendors.
    • Liaise with relevant departments to support other data systems and platforms utilized for voter/constituent contact, digital communications, and digital engagement including Reach, GetThru, EveryAction, Salesforce, etc.
    • In partnership with State Affiliates, manage campaign tactic deliverables and execution including managing national team members, vendors, consultants, and others for the acquisition, enhancement, manipulation, and management of voter and supporter data.
  • Training and Support
    • Lead trainings for the organization on voter contact strategies, campaign execution, voter file, budget management, and data management. This includes identifying the various training needs, creating the necessary training materials, and leading the presentations.
    • Participate in and engage with national partners and organizations to stay informed on the latest developments in electoral tactics, polling, research, etc., and share those learnings with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Participate in team creation of work plans and team benchmarks for success. Manage special projects to deliver team goals.
  • Provide other support to Stand for Children, State Affiliates, and National Programs as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Passionate commitment and alignment to Stand for Children's mission, vision, and values.
  • 6+ years’ experience managing state-level and school board-level campaigns in both the electoral and issue advocacy space; With 2 years of concurrent experience as a member of a Voter Data/ Voter Analytics team preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, specifically the ability to analyze the data's meaning, the impact on decision-making, and to communicate that concisely to a broad cross-section of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience at administrative levels with platforms such as peer-to-peer texting, EveryAction, NGP VAN/M{insights.
  • Demonstrated understanding of employing and layering outreach tactics such as direct mail, digital/social ads, texting/phones/canvassing, and relational organizing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of information with impeccable attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively by making and meeting team goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in relational organizing, digital organizing, and/or volunteer management.
  • Demonstrated technical experience utilizing MS Excel and other MS Office products, Google Suite.
  • Outcome-driven, self-starter, and proactive with the capacity to work both independently and with the team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Some travel is required.
STARTING SALARY RANGE:$68,546 - $85,682 commensurate with experience. Generous benefits.
