Meet the team:
This is a role with a high level of external payor customer facing impact and responsibility to Dexcom. You will represent Dexcom products or services to Federal (VA/DoD/PHS/IHS) market. The National Account Executive – Federal Accounts will lead the strategic planning and delivery to expand Medical coverage policy, pharmacy coverage, as well as reduce restrictions to coverage to facilitate patient access as well as acceleration of prescribing among the HCP community.
You will strategically assess, develop, and implement action plans to align Company with Federal customers; and ensure achievement of access and revenue objectives. Work with Government Account Executive – VA/DoD/Medicaid, Government Affairs, Federal Sales team and other Dexcom colleagues to ensure federal sales objectives are met. You will collaborate with Regional Payor Solutions Executives to effectively pull-through federal market access strategies and develop clinician and other stakeholder advocacy.
The National Account Executive – Federal Accounts is expected to be an influential business leader coordinating strategic activities with Medical Science Liaisons, Health Economics Personnel, Finance Personnel, Marketing personnel and others to advance Dexcom product utilization and net revenue within the Federal accounts.
Where you come in:
- You will plan, initiate, and lead negotiations with Federal accounts (VA, DOD, PHS, IHS, etc.) that enable expanded product access
- You will develop and implement strategies to enhance coverage policy, reduce restrictions to coverage for existing and new products
- You will assist in building compelling product value propositions that will resonate with our Federal customers
- You will be responsible for developing federal account business plans that align to corporate strategic initiatives and provide leverage for Dexcom to achieve certain goals.
- You will maintain executive/decision making level relationships at assigned accounts
- You will participate in the forecasting process as needed
- You will provide insights to help Dexcom develop long range plans based on projected access and long range growth targets at Federal Accounts
- You will participate and lead in corporate strategic projects that impact federal account access
- You will achieve access, revenue, profitability metrics.
- You will ensure accurate and complete contract implementation internally and externally
- This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.
What makes you successful:
- You bring at least 5 years experience negotiating with Federal (VA/DoD/PHS/IHS) entities including contracts and pricing with a focus on achieving improved access for Dexcom products
- You have significant experience and relationships with Federal Account decision makers
- You are well versed on the Pharmaceutical Federal Supply Schedule contracting process and compliance guidelines.
- You bring experience with the various federal health care contract vehicles- FSS, BPA, ADP, DAPA, etc...
- You bring experience in both DME and pharmacy payor channels
- You have a proven track record of results.
- You have familiarity of public policy, state and federal reimbursement trends and legislation
- You bring experience selling in the Diabetes market

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 13+ years of related experience.
- At this level a graduate degree may be expected with 6 years of related experience.

Salary:
$149,000.00 - $248,300.00
