SALARYThe range for this position begins at $95,915 and is negotiable depending on experience.

Manages the Aircraft Records Department and all maintenance-related TRAX (aircraft maintenance management software) functions performed in Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality Assurance, Shop, and Technical Records modules. Serves as the Manager in charge of the Quality Control Records Section. Provides oversight and assistance for operating companies.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Assists the Senior Director of Quality Control develop goals and objectives that integrate organizational, aircraft maintenance tracking software, aircraft acquisition and ongoing records needs.
- Supervises the management of the Aircraft Records Section and assures editing and accuracy of all aircraft logbooks and Aircraft Records.
- Implements quality and efficiency improvements, and in conjunction with Senior Director of Quality Control, responds to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements.
- Conducts regular audits of Aircraft Records and related TRAX functions performed in Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality Assurance, Reliability, Shop, and Technical Records.
- Assists the Engineering department in updating TRAX.
- Provides or ensures reports are available in a timely manner.
- Provides leadership, coaching and development for Records team.
- Contributes to a positive and productive work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with a 14 CFR Part 121 Air Carrier, repair station, or lessor
- Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience using TRAX maintenance tracking software.
- Minimum 5 years of experience using Excel and ability to manipulate formulas.
- Must have thorough knowledge of:
- Applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
- FAA Operating Certificate Issues
- Operations Specifications
- Company operations and procedures (or ability to rapidly learn content)
- Ferry Flight Policy and Procedures
- OEM and supplier data
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a track record of coaching and developing team to strong levels of performance.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive work environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact successfully with wide range of stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check and receive clearance from TSA to work in secure area.
- Positions at this level have a high level of contact with management and staff throughout the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to give clear written and oral instructions to staff or other team members.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, policy manuals, and government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, procedures, correspondence, and other related materials.
- Ability to communicate effectively within the Maintenance Department and with other stakeholders as needed.
- Requires ability to respond effectively verbally and in writing to inquiries from regulators.
- Most work is performed in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
- Walking, sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting of up to 25 lbs.
