DAC Vision is part of the Satisloh Group and EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and sunglasses.
Under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Operations, this role will optimize supply chain processes, ensure timely procurement of materials, and implement effective MRP strategies. This position will be responsible for managing and presenting Supply Chain KPI’s, being the main contact of assigned main sourcing partners and inter-company entities cooperating with various departments to maintain an efficient and cost-effective strategy. As a part of the Operations Management team, the MRP and Procurement Specialist is expected to work collaboratively with, and earn the respect of, all other DAC leaders and work in tandem to continuously improve MRP and Procurement processes to help the company improve customer service and grow profitably.
Duties and Responsibilities: This information is intended to be descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The following examples do not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent.
- Develop and implement MRP strategies to optimize inventory levels and ensure the timely availability of materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, the Purchasing Supervisor and the Production Management team to understand production schedules, forecast demand, and plan procurement activities accordingly.
- Conduct regular assessments of inventory levels, identifying potential shortages or excesses and recommending appropriate adjustments.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with our partners.
- Maintains accurate records, KPIs, and metrics of the Operations; prepares, shares, and maintains MRP reports and KPI’s.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and quality control teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Analyze and optimize procurement processes to reduce costs and improve overall efficiency.
- Work closely with the finance and logistics team to manage budgetary constraints and optimize procurement costs.
- Stay abreast of changes in the market, technology, and regulations affecting procurement, adapting strategies accordingly.
- Establishes and maintains professional communication with inter-departments and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ethical standards, and company policies.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience as an MRP and Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and Procurement best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Certification in supply chain management or procurement is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office/Manufacturing/Warehouse environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Forklifts are used to load and off load trailer loaded with manufacturing materials. Forklifts also move material to designed places in the warehouse.
