 We are currently seeking a full-time MRI Coordinator.

Job Summary:

Performs daily responsibilities in MRI that helps to fulfil the hospital’s mission statement. The MRI coordinator is responsible for providing technical and administrative direction to MRI technologists. The coordinator assists in the evaluation, coordinating, safety, and maintaining all new and existing MRI policies and procedures per ACR. Coordinates the daily operations and staffing levels of MRI Technologists. Ensures a smooth, safe, and efficient daily work flow. Assists in the interview, orientation and training process for all MRI new technologists. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with the radiologist and referring physicians. Is responsible for the ongoing ACR accreditation.

Education/Licensure/Certifications/Qualifications:

GENERAL EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

•           Bachelor’s degree preferred.

•           7 + years Radiology experience with at least 3 years Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience & multi-modality certification required in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.

•           Serving in a former Lead or Supervisory role preferred.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

•           Must possess and maintain during employment both Radiography [R.T. (R) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification [(R.T. (MRI)] registry by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist [ARRT]

•           Must possess and maintain during employment a Maine State license to practice radiography.

•           Basic Life Support [BLS] certificate obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter.

•           Must possess MRSO certification
