Job Description PURPOSE OF POSITION To provide transportation for patients and staff throughout the Gotham Health Portfolio.
Driver may also transport equipment and supplies, confidential documents, mail, and timesheets throughout all Gotham Health Sites. SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Driver is responsible for coverage across the Gotham network which spans all 5 boroughs. Driver may be asked to cover trips to and from any borough.
Assists in loading and unloading of passengers, materials, and equipment Documents and keeps a daily log of all trips and deliveries made Must assist staff and patients in and out of the vehicle Responsible for wearing assigned uniform in a professional and presentable manner, according to policy Must demonstrate courtesy and display a positive attitude conducive to the workplace using the ICARE model Operates vehicle in a safe manner and watches for traffic hazards Responsible over general preventative maintenance Checks vehicle tires, oil, and fuel and checks to see that all safety equipment, including lights, horn, and breaks are operating properly Reports noticeable mechanical defects in the vehicle & brings the vehicle to approved repair shop Reports any accidents driver and vehicle may have been involved in Must participate in Performance Improvement Activities May act as a chauffeur to an official or executive Is responsible for tools, supplies, materials, and equipment carried in or on the assigned vehicle. May be required to transport equipment and/or materials between Gotham sites. Must stay in compliance with all standards requirements such as annual physical, HIPPA compliance, etc.

However, there are certain physical requirements. License Requirements: 1.
Candidates must possess a Motor Vehicle Drivers License valid in the State of New York and either 2 or 3 below. 2. For appointment in certain agencies, possession of either a Class 1 or a Class 2 or a Class 3 Motor Vehicles Drivers License, or a combination of these licenses, may be required at the time of appointment.
3. For other agencies which do not require the licenses in 2 above at the time of appointment, possession of either a Class 3 Learners Permit or a Class 3 Drivers License is required at the time of appointment. In addition, for these agencies, the Class 3 license must be obtained within three months of the date of appointment.
