JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News Media (Fox Nation & Fox News, Fox Business, Fox Weather) has a new, exciting opportunity for a Motion Graphics Designer on our marketing design team.
In this hands-on design position, the Motion Graphics Designer will be an integral member of the design team and report to and collaborate with the Creative Director and Vice President, Creative Marketing. The Motion Graphics Designer will be responsible for producing creative and visually compelling graphics to support all the multi-varied brands under Fox News Media including our new, groundbreaking entertainment brand - Fox Nation.
There is nothing quite like Fox Nation's brand in the television/streaming/entertainment worlds. The service is a unique blend of entertainment programming, movies, cooking, reality and history series as well as politics and news. The Animator/Designer will have the rare opportunity of being one of the few creatives tasked with creating premium and elevated design work that will help take Fox Nation to the next level.
Additionally, the Motion Graphics Designer will work on creative in the fast-paced world of Fox News, Fox Business and Fox Weather.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and design animations including opens, bumps, transitions, and set elements based on established show formats.
• Create and deliver cohesive creative across franchise deliverables
• Execute same-day requests while balancing assignments with longer deadlines
• Work closely with art directors, creative director, and department management to ensure work aligns with network/show identity and editorial guidelines
• Pitch designs for new show packages, redesigns, studio displays, and segments based on executive requests, editorial guidance, and internal requests
• Must be able to storyboard concepts and present designs in a group environment
• Collaborate with other designers to produce cohesive graphics packages across multiple platforms. This includes designing pieces for print campaigns, set/scenic mockups, and internal company presentations
• Ensure all work conforms to technical requirements and file organization standards
• Work to maintain freshness, creative excellence, and a level of innovation that will uphold and enhance the brands when needed
• Help to maintain brand consistencies

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 5+ years as Animator and Designer
• Experience working in design and production for broadcast news and digital
• Complete knowledge of all the latest design tools, platforms, and versions of applicable software programsMac OS, Photoshop, After Effects, familiarity with 3D applications ( Maya / Cinema 4D ), and a working knowledge of Final Cut Pro
• Technical Experience: Typography, Design, Motion, Motion Tracking, Keying, Rotoscoping, Editing

• Ability to organize information (layout design, infographics, general organization)
• Meticulous attention to design detail and quality controls are a must
• Refined sense of motion and animation, particularly relating to typography and logo usage
• Knowledge and awareness of current design trends in graphic design and typography
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and to think and respond quickly

• Knowledge of fundamental design and Motion Graphics terminology plus the latest advances and trends
• An excellent communicator to liaise with internal teams, executives, and creatives
• Ability to work, revise and take/give direction on multiple projects at once
• Ability to visualize innovative solutions beyond the simple use of software, including designing for Effects and Live Action concepts

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design/Communication
• Interest/knowledge in a combination of politics/news/entertainment/history/pop culture
• Project Management software such as JIRA and SLACK
• Relevant experience at a studio, television network or creative agency servicing the entertainment industry

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $95,000.00-110,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
