Processing Manager
Overview of the Role:
The Processing Manager at Epic Mortgage is a crucial role that oversees the Processing operations of the company. At Epic, our Processing is our Product and our Loan Officers are our direct clients. Our Processing Department ensures that loans close swiftly & efficiently, that all deadlines are met, that the borrowers feel at ease & supported, and that our loan officers are our raving fans. The Processing Manager is a practicing Processor (handles their own files while manages team members) and meets regularly with all processors, oversees the Pipeline, and is an expert at the Processing system. They demand excellence, provide structure and strategy, and report directly to the President of the company.
Regular Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily Check-In to the Processing Virtual Call to see what Processors need & how they can help
- Monday AM File Check in with each Processor (20 min each)
- Loans Closing This Week (all CTC)?
- Any not CTC, DOP finds out what is needed & gets involved if necessary
- Hair on Fire if not CTC
- Upcoming Deadlines this week (are we all set on all of them)?
- What files do we need to “amp up” - get Manager involved?
- General How-To Questions
- Meet with the President weekly to discuss KPI’s
- How many loans in Pipeline
- Volume This Month / Volume Next Month
- LC & Appraisal Deadline % from last week (50/50 dates met)
- Closing Deadline % Met last week (12/12 closing dates met)
- Tolerance
- Oversee their own Pipeline of Loan Officers & Practice as a Processor as well
- Assist Processors with Calculating Income, Reviewing Files, Submitting Files, on an as-needed basis.
- Oversee the Processing Playbook and ensure all Processors are using it as a guide and sticking to the Epic Processing system
- Process own set of files for an Epic POD (group of loan officers) - expected volume of approx 30 active (non ctc) files consistently
- Meet with Leadership Team Weekly to report metrics & stay connected with updates to the Company
Skills Required
The Processing Manager is a Leadership Role at Epic Mortgage which requires a high level of emotional intelligence & servant leadership mindset. They must be able to lead a team of people with grace & empathy, while also ensuring that deadlines are always met and our clients are always top priority.
Must have an expertise in Processing Tasks including but not limited to Submitting files to underwriting, Calculating Income, General Problem Solving, AML Red Flags, general Compliance, Fannie/Freddie Guides, Preferred Lender Guides and must have a minimum of 1 year leadership experience & 2 years Processing experience.
