Job Description:

The Bilingual Mortgage Loan Processing Manager oversees a team of “Loan Processors” who work directly with borrowers to gather and evaluate the necessary supporting materials and documentation required for someone to qualify for a Zippy loan. This role will work closely with MLOs and Underwriters to ensure a smooth process for applicants.

Responsibilities:

• Processor Enablement: The Manager will train and enable Loan Processors to give them knowledge for what they need to succeed: Observe day to day closely, listen to internal and external partner feedback, suggest, and implement improvements, stay up to date on all process changes across the team, communicate updates effectively and work with neighboring teams to ensure consistent alignment.
• Processor Career Management: Host regular weekly 1 on 1’s, establish near term and long-term goals with each team member, set a plan for them to accomplish these goals, and push the team to new heights while also reviewing and rewarding great work.
• Teamwork:This role will be in constant contact with managers of the other origination teams (MLO’s, Underwriters, Closers, etc). It is imperative that all parties are communicative, willing to identify issues and quickly move to correct them. Must handle escalations with prompt attention, but also maintain a calm, level-headed approach to each situation.
• File Review: Be a player-coach and dive into files as needed to drive deadlines and help when team members are out.
• Feedback and Ownership:Zippy is building its technology and requires feedback from users (that’s you!) on our systems. How can we improve? What are we missing? We expect feedback on our systems and ownership of the process from you
• Share Best Practices: Share best practices, prior experience, new learnings, and challenges and success stories across a growing team to propel us forward in disrupting manufactured housing financing

Qualifications:

• Five (5+) years of experience in Loan Processing in the housing market (manufactured housing experience appreciated)
• Three (3+) years of managerial experience and strong ability to steer a growing team
• Bilingual – Spanish and English
• Comfortable in an uncertain, fast-paced environment that will evolve as our technology and business scales
• Proactive and autonomous manager
• Collaborative and innovative with a strong desire for the entire team to win together
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools
• Undergraduate degree or extended relevant work experience
