Co-Diagnostics Inc, (Co-Dx) is a Salt Lake City biotechnology company committed to finding innovative diagnostic solutions to global health problems. Co-Dx is developing a home PCR test system to detect viruses and other pathogens. The design team includes molecular biologists and chemists, working with mechanical, electrical, software and manufacturing engineers to develop the instrument, consumable, and manufacturing process. We are seeking a Molecular Biology Research Associate IIor III to join this team.
Responsibilities:
- Create molecular diagnostic assays using a variety of PCR technologies.
- Perform sample preparation, extraction, and testing with limited supervision.
- Follow standard operating procedures to complete these tasks.
- Assist with the organization and analysis of experiment data, documentation of findings, and presentation of the findings to the larger team.
- Assist with the development of posters and manuscripts under the direction of the scientist.
- Assist in the implementation of new experimental protocols, based on methods described in the scientific literature.
- Prepare products for manufacturing and/or shipment.
- Collect quantitative data from a variety of instruments and analyze the data with Microsoft Excel, R, GraphQL and other tools.
- Work cooperatively with others and exhibit good personal hygiene.
Qualifications:
Training and Education: BS degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field with 1-2 years laboratory experience. The RA II role requires 2 to 4 years of work experience in Molecular Biology and a bachelor's degree in a related field. The RA III role requires 4 to 6 years of work experience in Molecular Biology or a master's degree in a related field. Salary will depend upon experience.
Good qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills and computer literacy and proficiency are required. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with others will be critical
