Idaho Laboratory is hiring an entry level Modeling & Simulation Professional to work in our Computational Frameworks department on our MOOSE team. Our team works a 9x80 or schedule located out of our C3 facility with every other Friday off. Responsibilities Include:
- Work on the open-source Modeling and Simulation platform, MOOSE, responding to tickets, and supporting programmatic objectives as part of the team.
- You must be a strong asset to the MOOSE team and work both in isolation and as an enthusiastic member of the team.
- Take direction from other team members and peers, and also provide input in a constructive manner to others while maintaining a positive and professional relationships.
- Documentation of work is required, which typically requires authorship of technical reports and research papers for refereed journals and proceedings
Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Experience with object-oriented programming concepts, modern C++, Python, Message-passing Interface (MPI), and scientific computing workflows.
- Background in one or more physics areas such as mechanics, fluids, materials, or nuclear engineering.
Job Information:
- The pay range for this position is $63,528.00 - $130,284.00. At Idaho Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
