Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in an assisted living setting
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on the needs and goals of each individual
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
- Monitor and document individuals' progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience in patient care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with dementia care is a plus
- Ability to lift and assist individuals with mobility limitations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
