Overview: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mobile Event Barista/Crew to join our team. As a vital member of our mobile dessert truck, you will be responsible for providing exceptional espresso and dessert service at high-volume events. You'll need to be efficient, customer-focused, and adaptable to varying event environments.
Responsibilities:
Prepare Quality Beverages: Expertly craft a variety of coffee drinks including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty beverages according to customer preferences and company standards.
Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the mobile coffee truck at all times, including the preparation area, equipment, and serving area.
Manage Inventory: Monitor and manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, cups, and other supplies to ensure availability during events.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions about products, and recommending menu items.
Operate Equipment: Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other coffee equipment safely and efficiently.
Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain an organized cash register.
Set up and Breakdown: Assist with the setup and breakdown of the mobile coffee truck before and after events, including loading and unloading equipment and supplies.
Adapt to Event Environment: Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment, adapting to changing conditions and customer demands.
Follow Health and Safety Guidelines: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Base pay begins at $16/hour, butyou will be working in a team of 2-3 people splitting all tips at high-volume events (Typically tip range is an additional $10 - $30 per hour)
Currently seeking two, 6 to 12-hour weekend shifts per month
Paid sick days consistent with California labor laws
For candidates we would like to bring onboard without a valid Safe Food Handler® California permit, we will pay and assign the test online. Note: The test must be completed prior to your first day of serving. The course and test takes approximately 2 hours. We will also pay for a 6-hour "test" shift to gauge comfort and fit in the mobile facility.
For employees with special skills or backgrounds in food trucks, high-volume events, and catering, we will sponsor the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, which takes approximately 8 hours to complete, but allows you to work individually on the truck. A higher base and/or negotiated profit sharing, retirement savings, and other benefits will be considered as well.

The business is equipped with custom-built 10' foot Airstream-style trailer, stocked with freshly roasted espresso and gelato hand-crafted by local experts. It serves local community markets, private events, and festivals in the San Francisco Bay Area.
