Our Missile Track Custody (MTC) team has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer with experience in Digital Engineering specifically Model Based Systems Engineering tools and techniques for Department of Defense (DoD) space-based systems. This role provides Digital Engineering expertise supporting Space Systems Command's (SSC) Space Sensing Resilient (SNR) MEO Missile Warning Tracking Defense Delta.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Applying MBSE tools and techniques to capture system architectures, functions, services, interfaces, requirements, and concepts of operation to establish and maintain the baseline system design
- Supporting requirements allocations and functional decompositions to hardware, software, and lower level components of the system(s) within the models
- Integrating models from disparate stakeholders into a cohesive end-to-end environment to enable end-to-end architectural definition
- Production of model views to support program milestones and documentation
- Applying Simulation to the Mission Architecture via Cameo’s Simulation Toolkit
- Help to establish best modeling practices along with the Government to better enforce SysML modeling standards and best practices
- Enable the generation of systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification and test
- Collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government stakeholders, and members of the U.S. Space Force.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and nine (9) years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience or Master’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and seven (7) years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience.
- Experience working across space and ground segment organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements and key performance parameters to ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met.
- Experience with DoDAF and architecture development.
- Experience with DS Catia Cameo, and familiar with IBM Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or other comparable MBSE tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills
- Active Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications:
· Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
· Experience working in an Agile team/framework
· Demonstrated experience working with Space Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with space and/or ground systems.
SBIRS and/or OPIR enterprise mission experience is highly desirable
Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
