Job Description
Vocovision is currently looking for a fully remote Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to work with middle school and high school students in a Minnesota School District.In addition to increased flexibility in a remote position, teletherapy eliminates transportation concerns and allows clinicians to provide services to students in areas who are unable to be staffed with on-site professionals. The teacher will enjoy the benefits and flexibility ofworking from home while being able to make a positive impact on their students every day.
Requirements and Experience
Minnesota DHHT Certification
Masters Degree in Education (preferred)
At least two years of experience
Comfortable developing and writing IEPs
Ability to operate a teletherapy platform
Comfortable with 1099 position and ability to obtain liability insurance
Responsibilities
Assess the educational needs of learners who are hearing impaired or deaf.
Prepare and implement lesson plans to accommodate student specific learning styles.
Oversee communication needs in appropriate signed or spoken language.
Use professional knowledge to effectively address the needs of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population.
