Mining Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Mine Planning & Design -
• - Develop and implement mining plans and strategies to ensure efficient and safe extraction of minerals for various surface mining properties throughout Nevada, California and Arizona.- Monitor mining operations to ensure compliance with safety (MSHA) regulations and environmental standards and regulations.
• - Provide technical support and guidance to mining staff as needed
• Extraction and Production -
• - The Engineer will oversee the extraction of the minerals from the mine. They are responsible for optimizing the mining process to maximize resource recovery and minimize waste.
• Mineral Processing -
• - The Engineer will be involved with the design and management of the processing plant and facilities, including crushers, mills, screens and other separation equipment.
• Quality Control -
• The Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of the mined and processed materials. They will develop quality control procedures and monitor product specifications to meet company requirements.
• Safety -
• The Engineer is responsible for implementing all safety protocols, procedures and standards (MSHA)to protect workers and minimize accidents.
• Environmental and Regulatory Compliance -
• - The Engineer is responsible for ensuring that mining and process operations comply with all environmental and regulatory standards and regulations (local, state and federal); this includes managing waste disposal, stormwater pollution prevention and reclamation.
• Permit Writing, Monitoring and Maintenance -
• - The Engineer is responsible for creating, maintaining and monitoring all applicable permits required for the mine and milling operations. They must be familiar with the Rules and Regulations pertaining to Mining Operations in Nevada, California and Arizona and their associated agencies (i.e., NDEP, BLM, SMARA, and County Planning Departments)
• Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or other Minerals related field is required

- +10 years of experience would be desired
- Proven experience in the mining industry, preferably in a senior level capacity
- Familiarity with surface mining techniques such as open-pit or strip mining
- Proficiency in using software applications for mine planning and design such as AUTOCAD, EXCEL, WordProcessing
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the mining industry (e.g., MSHA)
- Experience working around heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, etc.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
