Caterpillar’s MineStar Solutions is hiring a Product Specialist in Tucson, AZ. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as Command for Hauling, with fully autonomous haul trucks that enables our customers around the world to be safer and more productive. You will learn a unique skill set that spans the standard IT world (desktop, servers, database, network, and more) with Caterpillars Mining Technology solutions and our technology partners. You will add your unique experiences to our global support community to improve our processes while expanding your own global awareness.

What you will do:
Provide world-class customer service for MineStar hardware and software.
Advocate on behalf of the dealer and customer to resolve product issues.
Create strong relationships with customers and dealers in your region.
Provide rotational hotline coverage for MineStar Products.
Resolving a high percentage of issues, and prompt escalation to advanced support when a quick resolution cannot be obtained.
Troubleshoot an entire ecosystem from simple sensors on machines > onboard control units > onboard displays > network transfers > application server.
What you have:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of PC Technical skills.
6 months of experience investigating, troubleshooting, and diagnosing application and technical problems related to Mining Technology.
Top Candidates may also have:
Ability to learn complex software and hardware interactions.
Mining industry experience.
Customer support experiences such as in a call center or helpdesk environment.
Moderate level of knowledge in information technologies.
Ex – Virtualization, Basic TCP/IP Networking, Database fundamentals
Mechanical or electrical engineering experience.
Troubleshooting or analytical mindset
Additional information:
The location for this position is Tucson, AZ.
Domestic relocation assistance is not available.
This position may require 10 % travel.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS - This position requires open pit and underground mine site support work at times.
This team is responsible for 24/7/365 coverage, this will require non-standard shifts and weekend coverage on rotation.
