Job Description:

As a Milling Foreman at DC Construction Services, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing milling construction projects from initiation to completion. Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations. Your strong leadership skills, coupled with your expertise in construction management principles, will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of milling construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure projects adhere to predefined timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations on all job sites.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including INDOT, engineers, and project managers, to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee work meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and making adjustments as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans.
  • Experience cost control within construction projects.
  • Willingness to learn in-house construction software.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in training employees and knowledgeable about asphalt paving equipment and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
